RÈSUMÈS as NEWSPAPERS (?!)
Resumes are not newspapers.
AND YOU ARE...?
Ask any busy director/ producer/AD, etc. — just like demo reels, they want the talent presented cleanly, to the point.
I've sorted resumes at cattle calls and witnessed all sorts of gimmicky effects, angles, shot-within-a-shot on one side, and the resume side full of typos (misspellings) usage goofs. Slick isn't always the trick.
SIZE: Theaters want a 8x10 headshot and resume. If you have a busy, packed resume that reflects a successful career, you can't put everything in 14- or 12-point font so it is easy to read from afar.
If your resume is getting crowded, take some old things out. Or take out items that are not as job-worthy as others.
